If you're used to having pho elsewhere, it might come as a surprise when you try it here. The soup is a little bit different and they already add in all the extras for you - bean sprouts, chilli, hoisin sauce and basil. And there's no lemon wedge, not entirely sure if they also added that too!? But you know what, it tastes like awesome. So much that I've now come to question whether this is the authentic taste of pho sometimes.
Soup's great, noodles are smooth, slurpable and good in texture and the beef is decent. Beef is ultimately not my most important feature of a pho, it's the broth and noodles and they rule.
I've had pho all my life and I never used to like adding all the extra condiments, other than dipping my beef in hoisin. This place has changed my habit of adding everything at other places now so deserves every star amirite!!
The only thing that would take dem stars away is the wait time. It can vary heavily and can be up to 20mins or so sometimes so be prepared. Oh and also, the regular portion could do with a biiittt more noodles... I'm aware there's a large version, but that one could also do with a bit more noodles.
5 stars for taste. -

Bad attitude. I ask what is the difference between Vietnamese salad and Chicken Cabbage Salad. The answer was yes they both have chicken. Next question, what is in the Vietnamese salad? Salad. And chicken. Based on the no so good rating, guess the food is not so good. Yes, it's not for me!!!

I'm a Vietnamese came to Sydney from the USA for a business trip. After 6 days eating Western style food (American, Australian, Italian, ...) i was craving for Vietnamese food and finallyI was glad that i found the Little Vietnamese Food restaurant which was only a walking distance from my hotel. A little bit different from most Vietnamese restaurants in the US: Here customers have to order food and pay at the cashier like in most fast food restaurants. Not a big deal! When ordering, I asked the server to add some extra onion and cilantro to my "pho" bowl (beef noodle soup). He said ok and then turned to the back of the bar where a Vietnamese lady was preparing food for customers and he said something to her that i could not hear. However, surprisingly, She talked back to the young guy in Vietnamese with her voice that loud enough for me to hear clearly: "ong xin ke ong chu, mình cho bao nhiêu thì ăn bao nhiêu chu xin thêm cái gì" ("Just ignore his request, let him eat what we provide for him, nothing extra!"). I couldn't believe what I heard and was speechless with shock! Do I need to say anything more about this restaurant? Did the story above explain enough my "1 star" review for this restaurant? Bye bye the Little Vietnamese Food restaurant!!!
